Can PrestaShop translate products automatically with AI?+
Yes. With the free LATW Cloud (AI Translation) module, LATW Cloud translates your products, categories, CMS pages, SEO texts and store front strings with AI and writes them into PrestaShop's own language fields. You pick the languages and a quality class in the LATW Cloud panel, see the cost up front and pay per word.
Which PrestaShop versions does it support?+
PrestaShop 1.7.8, 8 and 9, on the PHP version your PrestaShop requires (7.2 or later) with the curl, json and openssl extensions. Friendly URLs must be turned on.
How much does it cost to translate a PrestaShop store with AI?+
The module is free and LATW Cloud is pay per word: from $0.0234 per 1,000 words on Economy, with no monthly fee. A store with 50,000 words costs about $1.17 per language on Economy or $23.40 on Standard, paid once. Plans from $9 a month add Batch mode at half price, your own AI keys and 20-40% cheaper Credits.
Does it translate friendly URLs and SEO texts?+
Yes. SEO titles and descriptions of products, categories, CMS pages and store pages are translated with the rest, and friendly URLs (link_rewrite) are made from the translated names - so every language gets its own readable URLs.
Will it change my prices, stock or other languages?+
No. A translation is written into its own language only. Prices, stock, product status and every other language stay exactly as they are.
Does it work with PrestaShop multistore?+
Yes. Each shop is its own site in LATW Cloud: choose the shop in the multistore menu, then connect it. Plan limits count sites, so three shops fit the Startup plan, which covers up to 5.
How does it know what still needs translating?+
PrestaShop keeps no translation status, so LATW Cloud works it out: an item is missing in a language while its fields are empty or identical to the source, and outdated when LATW Cloud translated it and the source changed since. Translate only those and you pay only for them.
Is the module on PrestaShop Addons?+
No. You download it free from your LATW account (Sites → Integrations → PrestaShop) and upload it in Module Manager. When a new version is out, International → LATW Cloud tells you; upload the new zip the same way and the store stays connected.
Does it translate page builder content and banners?+
Not yet. Content built with page builders and texts that modules keep in their own settings - banners, custom text blocks - are not translated. Products, catalog data, CMS pages, SEO texts and theme, module and e-mail strings are.
Can I use my own OpenAI or other AI API key?+
Yes, on every paid plan from Solo at $9 a month. You pay your AI provider directly and LATW charges only for the plan; you can also mix your own keys and LATW Credits per store.
Can my own AI agent translate my PrestaShop site (MCP)?+
Yes, on every paid plan from Solo. LATW Cloud has an MCP server: connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, n8n or your own agent with your LATW account - no key to copy - and ask it to translate, for example "translate all missing products into German". The agent translates with its own model and LATW Cloud checks every translation and writes it to your site, with no Credits used: Solo includes 50,000 agent words a month, Startup 250,000 and Agency 1 million. For big jobs the agent can start a regular LATW Cloud job instead - it shows you the price first.
What data does the module send to LATW Cloud?+
Nothing until an administrator clicks "Connect with LATW". Connecting sends the store address, its languages, name and home page description, and the administrator's e-mail; after that LATW Cloud reads only the content chosen for translation. Text is deleted 7 days after the job, LATW Cloud is hosted in the EU and a DPA is available in your account.
What happens to my translations if I uninstall the module?+
They stay in your store. Uninstalling removes only the connection to LATW Cloud and the record of what it translated - every language keeps working, and unused Credits never expire.
