Webflow Localization Cost for 2, 5 and 10 Languages

Laptop showing a black world map on its screen, on a desk with a cup and a pen holder in front of continent silhouettes on the wall

Webflow Localization costs $9 per locale per month on the Essential tier and $29 per locale per month on Advanced, on top of your site plan (Webflow pricing page, as of October 2026). For a CMS site that is about $43 a month for 2 added languages, $170 for 5 and $315 for 10. The tables below show how those numbers are built and where they stop being the whole story.

Key Takeaways

  • The add-on is billed per locale, so cost grows in a straight line with each language you add. Past 3 locales you must move to the $29 tier.
  • Webflow’s page lists a monthly AI translation allowance (10,000 words on Essential, 50,000 on Advanced) but, in the text we checked, no price for going over it.
  • A 20,000-word site already exceeds the Essential allowance on its first translation pass.
  • Weglot is a separate subscription on top of your Webflow plan. Pay-per-word AI on the Economy class costs far less per language, but it does not replace Webflow’s locale structure.
  • Prices below were checked on 31 October 2026. Check the live pages before you budget.

How we worked out the numbers

We checked Webflow’s pricing page, Weglot’s pricing page and LATW Cloud’s pricing on 31 October 2026. Every price in this article is from those pages and is “as of October 2026”.

The example site is a CMS site with 20,000 words of source content. “2, 5 or 10 languages” means that many added locales next to your primary language. Your site will differ, so treat the totals as a model, not a quote.

What Webflow Localization costs

Webflow sells Localization as an add-on on top of a Site plan. The pricing page shows each price as “based on # of locales”. We read that as a per-locale price and multiplied accordingly. The page lists two tiers:

TierPriceLocales you can addAI translation allowance listed
Localize Essential$9 per month, based on number of localesup to 310,000 words per month
Localize Advanced$29 per month, based on number of localesup to 1050,000 words per month

Source: webflow.com/pricing, as of October 2026.

We used the current Webflow page, which says up to 3 locales on Essential and up to 10 on Advanced. Older or third-party posts may quote other caps, so check the live page.

Your site plan comes first. The same page lists Basic at $15 per month billed yearly (no CMS) and Premium at $25 per month billed yearly (with Webflow CMS). A site with a blog or product collections needs Premium, so we use $25 below.

Monthly cost for 2, 5 and 10 added locales

Added localesPremium site planLocalize tierAdd-on costMonthly totalYearly total (x12)
2$25Essential2 x $9 = $18$43$516
5$25Advanced5 x $29 = $145$170$2,040
10$25Advanced10 x $29 = $290$315$3,780

The jump from 3 to 4 locales is the one to watch. Three locales on Essential cost $27 a month (add-on only). The fourth forces you onto Advanced, so 4 locales cost $116 a month (add-on only), or $141 with the $25 site plan. If you only need 2 languages and want to stay on Essential, the tier fits. If you may add a fourth later, plan for the move.

Yearly totals are the monthly total times 12. Webflow’s page shows monthly rates for the add-on, and we did not confirm whether paying month to month costs more than yearly.

What the sticker price leaves out

The AI translation allowance

The tier cards list 10,000 or 50,000 words “per month” of AI-powered translation. Three things matter here:

  • The page does not say what happens past the limit. In the text we checked, there is no overage price for AI words.
  • It does not say, in the text we checked, whether the allowance is per locale or shared. Check this before you buy, because it changes the math by a factor of your language count.
  • Your first pass is the big one. Our 20,000-word example site is already 2x the Essential allowance for a single language, if the allowance counts translated words. Translating it into 2 languages is 40,000 words. On Advanced, 5 languages is 100,000 words and 10 languages is 200,000 words against a 50,000-word allowance, unless the allowance is per locale.

After the first pass, upkeep is smaller: new posts and edits only. But an agency that launches many sites will hit the first-pass wall every time.

Review time

Machine translation still needs a read-through for brand terms, product names and anything legal. This cost is real but depends on you, so we leave it out of the totals. A simple way to price it: pages to review, times minutes per page, times your hourly rate. If you value an hour at $50 and allow one hour per language for a small site, that adds $100 for 2 languages and $500 for 10. These are illustrative numbers, not a benchmark.

Per-locale billing on every site

If you run client sites, ask Webflow how Localize is billed across sites before you quote a project; the pricing page text we checked does not say.

What Weglot costs for the same site

Weglot works differently. It is a separate subscription, billed on total words and translated languages, on top of whatever Webflow site plan you already pay. Weglot’s pricing page lists these plans (excluding VAT; USD figures are Weglot’s estimates from the euro price, as of October 2026):

PlanMonthly (Weglot USD estimate)Yearly (Weglot USD estimate)Total wordsTranslated languages
Starter€15 (about $17)€150 (about $170)10,0001
Business€29 (about $32)€290 (about $320)50,0003
Pro€79 (about $87)€790 (about $870)200,0005
Advanced€299 (about $329)€2,990 (about $3,290)1,000,00010

Source: weglot.com/pricing, as of October 2026. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial.

For our 20,000-word site, the fitting plans are Business for 2 languages, Pro for 5 and Advanced for 10. Adding the $25 Premium site plan, that is roughly $57, $112 and $354 per month. At 10 languages, Weglot and Webflow Advanced land within about $40 a month of each other. At 5 languages Weglot is cheaper on paper.

Weglot’s pricing page describes the word limit as fixed, not renewing. The free plan is limited to 2,000 words.

The other difference is where the translations live, which matters if you ever leave. See our guide to leaving Weglot and keeping your translations and our list of Weglot alternatives if that matters to you.

When a separate AI translator makes sense

We make LATW Cloud, so weigh our comparison accordingly.

Webflow’s AI translation is bundled into the add-on price, so an outside tool does not lower the add-on line. It can help in three cases: your first pass is bigger than the monthly allowance, you want to choose the model, glossary and tone yourself, or you want to pay per word instead of per locale. A combined bill is the Webflow total plus the LATW cost: for example $43 a month plus a one-time $0.94 (Economy) for 2 languages, or $315 a month plus $4.68 for 10. In cash terms you top up at least $5. The 10,000 free Economy words on your first connected site would offset part of the 2-language job (40,000 words).

LATW Cloud is one option. It connects to Webflow with an API token, with no plugin to install, translates in the background and saves the translations in your Webflow site. They stay there if you stop paying. It does not replace Webflow’s locale structure or hosting. It fills the locales with AI translation. Per latw.ai/cloud on 31 October 2026, Pay as you go pricing is:

Quality classModelPrice per 1,000 words
EconomyGPT-6 Luna$0.0234
StandardGPT-6 Sol$0.468
PremiumGPT-6 Astra$2.34

There is no monthly fee on Pay as you go, and the minimum top-up is $5. The first site you connect on an account gets 10,000 free words on Economy. You see an estimate before each job and pay that amount.

The same 20,000-word site, one time

LanguagesEconomyStandard
2$0.94$18.72
5$2.34$46.80
10$4.68$93.60

That is 20 x the per-1,000-word price, times the number of languages, with HTML and shortcodes stripped before counting (LATW counts words per target language). Top-ups start at $5, so you pay at least that. Economy suits blog posts. Standard suits landing pages. For a deeper look at how model choice moves cost, see what AI translation actually costs, the batch API cost breakdown and our notes on affordable AI translation services.

What this does not fix: you still pay Webflow for the Localize add-on and the locales if you want Webflow’s locale structure. A pay-per-word tool lowers the translation line only. Quality also depends on the model and on your glossary and tone settings, so translate one page and read it before you commit to a whole site. If your team needs a human review workflow or assigned translators, a different tool will fit better. For model quality, see DeepL vs ChatGPT for website translation.

Is Webflow Localization worth it?

It is worth it when you want locales managed inside Webflow, with one vendor and no extra tools, and your site is small. For 2 languages at $43 a month on a CMS site, many small sites will accept that.

It gets harder to justify when:

  • You need more than 3 languages, so every locale costs $29.
  • Your content is large, so the AI allowance runs out on the first pass and you do not know the overage price.
  • You run many client sites and have not confirmed how the add-on is billed across them.

In those cases, compare three costs side by side: the Webflow add-on, a subscription tool such as Weglot, and pay-per-word AI on top of Webflow’s locales. SaaS teams with product docs and a blog should also read our notes on AI translation for SaaS websites.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Webflow Localization cost per month?

$9 per locale on Localize Essential (up to 3 locales) and $29 per locale on Localize Advanced (up to 10 locales), plus your Site plan. That is from Webflow’s pricing page, as of October 2026.

Does Webflow include AI translation?

Yes. The pricing page lists “AI-powered translation” with 10,000 words per month on Essential and 50,000 words per month on Advanced. We did not find an overage price on the page.

Which site plan do I need if I have a blog?

A blog or collections need a plan with Webflow CMS, which is Premium on the current page ($25 per month billed yearly). Basic ($15 per month billed yearly) is described as for sites without a CMS. The pricing text we checked does not say whether Localize can be added on Basic, so confirm that with Webflow.

Is Weglot cheaper than Webflow Localization?

For our 20,000-word example, Weglot plus the Premium site plan is lower at 5 languages (about $112 vs $170 a month) and similar at 10 (about $354 vs $315, with Webflow slightly cheaper). Weglot’s USD prices are estimates from euro prices.

Can I translate a Webflow site without a subscription?

You can use a pay-per-word tool. LATW Cloud connects to Webflow with an API token, charges per word and has no subscription on Pay as you go. Connecting a site is free, and the first site on an account also gets 10,000 free words on Economy, enough to read a translated page.

Next step

Work out your own numbers: count your words, pick your language count, and use the tables above. Connecting a site to LATW Cloud is free. The first site on an account also gets 10,000 free words on Economy, enough to read one translated page before you decide.
